Job Description

The Team Leader Finance will oversee day-to-day accounting and receivables operations, manage a small team, and ensure compliance with statutory and company policies. This role combines leadership, process improvement, and hands-on execution to maintain healthy cash flows, accurate reporting, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team & Process Management

  • Lead, mentor, and train a team of accountants and AR executives.
  • Allocate work, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
  • Implement and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and collections.

2. Accounts Receivables Oversight

  • Supervise end-to-end AR processes including invoicing, payment follow-ups, escalations, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor AR aging reports and implement proactive collection strategies.
  • Manage high-value client escalations and negotiate payment plans when required.

3. Accounting & Compliance

  • Oversee bookkeeping, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PT, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.

4. Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, cash flow forecasts, and management dashboards.
  • Provide insights on revenue trends, cost control, and working capital optimization.
  • Support budgeting and financial planning activities.

5. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify gaps in current workflows and recommend automation or system upgrades.
  • Support ERP or finance software implementation and optimization.
  • Drive adoption of digital tools to enhance reporting accuracy and collection efficiency.

Desired profile:

  • Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance)
  • Experience: 46 years in accounting & AR roles, with at least 1–2 years in a team lead/supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and compliance
  • Proficiency in Tally, Zoho, or similar accounting platforms; advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in SaaS, cloud technology, or service-based companies preferred
