Job Summary

The LAP Sales Team Lead is responsible for driving business growth in the Loan Against Property (LAP) segment by leading a team of sales executives. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, developing channel relationships, optimizing lead conversions, and ensuring compliance with credit and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly LAP disbursement and sourcing targets
  • Develop and manage direct, DSA, and connector relationships to generate quality leads
  • Oversee lead allocation, pipeline management, and conversion tracking
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and competitive trends

2. Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales executives/relationship managers
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set KPIs, and provide ongoing training
  • Drive a high-performance culture and ensure adherence to sales processes

3. Customer & Channel Engagement

  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Resolve escalations promptly and ensure smooth customer onboarding
  • Represent the organization professionally in customer interactions and marketplace meetings

4. Credit & Risk Coordination

  • Work closely with credit, operations, and legal teams to ensure timely sanction and disbursement
  • Ensure all files meet credit policy, documentation, and compliance standards
  • Monitor portfolio quality and work proactively to maintain low delinquency

5. Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and performance dashboards
  • Track lead funnel metrics and identify gaps for improvement
  • Provide insights to management on productivity, competition, and market trends

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of LAP products, policies, and secured lending processes
  • Proven experience in sales leadership within BFSI/NBFC/Housing Finance sectors
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to motivate teams and drive target achievement
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in CRM tools and MS Excel
  • Understanding of legal and technical aspects of property valuation (preferred)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 4-8 years of LAP sales experience, with at least 23 years leading a team
