Must-Have Tech Skills

• Backend: Node.js, Java (strong command in at least one or Java is must).
• Frontend: React.js / Angular (should understand modern frontend frameworks).
• Databases: SQL (MySQL/Postgres) + NoSQL (MongoDB/Firestore).
• APIs: REST & GraphQL, integrations with third-party systems.
• Server-Side Tech: Kubernetes, Docker, scaling & load balancing, firewalls (enough knowledge to help architect solutions).
• Cloud: AWS,GCP (deployments, infra basics).
• Architecture: System design, microservices, scalability patterns.
• Security Best Practices: Secure coding, OAuth standards, data protection.
• DevOps & Tools: Git, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins).

Role & responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical leadership to the SRE team. Mentor other team members.
• Drive the architectural design and implementation to build fault tolerant systems with security, resilience, scale and performance.
• Enable operations excellence by building tools and capabilities for system and service observability, failure predication and prevention, failure detection and mitigation, as well as operational reliability and efficiency
• Analyse production event and outcome to improve reliability, operability, and customer experience of applications, platforms, functions, and services.
• Have strong ownership of the SRE teams analysis and implementation, deep in the maintenance characteristics runtime.

• Lead SLI/SLO/SLA and Error Budget management.
• Act as an lead product and technology SME and decision maker during operations escalation.
