As a Team Lead - Operations for the Food & Grocery Delivery vertical, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure seamless delivery processes, exceptional customer experience, and efficient partner management. Your role will involve managing logistics, optimizing delivery performance, streamlining workflows, and ensuring high service standards for both restaurant/grocery partners and customers. You will lead a team responsible for delivery agents, warehouse management (if applicable), and vendor relationships to scale operations effectively. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing operational strategies to meet business objectives, focusing on improving delivery performance, order accuracy, and partner satisfaction. You will manage and lead a team of operations coordinators, delivery agents, and logistics personnel to ensure smooth daily operations. Additionally, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery process, optimize delivery routes and resource allocation, and use data analytics to identify areas for improvement and enhance performance. You will be responsible for managing the recruitment, training, and performance of delivery agents, establishing best practices for on-boarding, safety, and performance management. Furthermore, you will oversee the effective management of delivery resources, including fleet vehicles, inventory, and delivery personnel, ensuring efficient utilization. You will work closely with restaurant and grocery store partners to align operations, manage inventory effectively, and process orders smoothly. In this role, you will identify inefficiencies in the delivery process and implement strategies to drive operational excellence. You will collaborate with the customer service team to address and resolve any issues related to delivery operations, ensuring continuous improvement in customer experience. Moreover, you will ensure compliance with all local regulations and industry standards related to food handling, delivery safety, and operational laws. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus. You should have at least 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in food delivery, e-commerce, or last-mile logistics. Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with logistics and operations management tools are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in the food and grocery delivery industry, familiarity with automation and technology solutions for delivery optimization, and an understanding of food safety regulations and compliance standards.
