Role Overview: You will be joining Adyen's fast-growing CDD Onboarding team in Bangalore as a Team Lead. In this role, you will guide a motivated team and help shape the regional growth by overseeing the onboarding of new and existing merchants, assessing them across AML, fraud, reputational, and regulatory risks. Collaboration with Sales, Account Management, Compliance, Risk, and Product teams will be essential to maintain a compliant, high-quality portfolio. As part of a global CDD team, you will drive operational improvements, lead process optimization and automation, and foster a culture of speed, quality, and customer focus. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team responsible for the onboarding and risk assessments of new and existing clients, ensuring compliance and handling escalations/frictions efficiently and effectively - Conduct risk assessments for new and existing clients in accordance with regulations and internal KYC procedures - Drive process improvements, provide insights and guidance towards these initiatives - Evaluate existing procedures and processes, optimize end-to-end merchant onboarding processes - Provide advice and assistance to Commercial and product teams to increase customer satisfaction and improve automation rates - Ensure continuous team growth and competence improvements Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of proven experience in the risk, operations, or compliance industry - Firm grasp and understanding of AML, KYC, PCI, Scheme rules, and internal controls - Detail-oriented, organized, and effective multitasker - People-oriented with experience in growing individual contributors - Strong collaborator, with the ability to work independently - Initiative taker committed to challenging the status quo in a professional manner - Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and executes ideas effectively - Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, believing in operational excellence through efficiency - Data-driven with the ability to use data for decision-making - Strategic thinker with excellent written and verbal communication skills - English fluency required, proficiency in other Asian languages (Japanese, Mandarin) is a strong plus Additional Company Details: Adyen values diversity, equity, and inclusion, believing that diverse perspectives are essential in solving unique business and technical challenges.
