Team Assistant for the EUSR for the Great Lakes region

The Team Assistant for the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the Great Lakes region is a locally recruited individual based in Brussels. In this role, you will be an integral part of the EUSR's team, providing support and assistance in various administrative tasks. Your main responsibilities will include managing the EUSR's schedule, handling calls and correspondence, organizing meetings, and assisting in mission preparations. You will also be responsible for assisting the Financial and Administrative Officer with travel claims, managing functional mailboxes, and handling incoming and outgoing correspondence. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining contact lists, coordinating personnel administration formalities, and liaising with support services for office-related administrative issues. Your role will require excellent organizational skills, the ability to work autonomously with discretion, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective work relations in a multicultural environment. To be successful in this role, you must be a citizen of a Member State of the European Union with full rights as a citizen. Fluency in English, both written and oral, is essential, while a working knowledge of French is required. A qualification equivalent to level 4 in the European Qualifications Framework and relevant professional experience in administration, preferably in EU institutions or missions, are also necessary.
