We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and experienced individual to join our dedicated faculty. **Responsibilities:** - Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Indian music to students across various age groups and skill levels. - Foster a passion for music in students and encourage their creativity through hands-on learning and performance opportunities. - Provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students improve their musical technique and knowledge. - Prepare students for school performances, concerts, and competitions. - Assess and monitor students" progress, providing regular feedback and guidance for improvement. - Maintain accurate records of students" progress and attendance. - Organize and participate in annual music showcases or recitals. - Work collaboratively with the curriculum head to plan and execute school-wide music events, festivals, and cultural programs. - Attend faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-related events. - Stay updated with the latest trends and methods in Indian music education and participate in professional development opportunities. **Qualifications:** - Proficiency and knowledge of basic Indian classical music and traditional music theory. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and faculty. - Ability to inspire and motivate students to pursue their musical interests. - Knowledge of the cultural context and history behind the music taught. - Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude towards teaching. - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks. - A genuine passion for music education and commitment to student development. - Experience in teaching the elements of Indian Music. - Proficiency in additional instruments or music styles (e.g., fusion, folk music) is a plus. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). - Ability to lead and organize music-related events and performances.
