TC - Data and Analytics - Cloud Architect - Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect Manager with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure to lead our cloud architecture initiatives. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions, with a focus on integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud services. You will manage a team of cloud architects and work closely with cross-functional teams to define cloud strategies, optimize cloud services, and ensure best practices in cloud architecture, particularly in the areas of landing zones and data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions on GCP and Azure that align with EYs strategic goals and client needs.
• Oversee the development and management of landing areas for data ingestion, ensuring efficient data flow from on-premises systems to cloud environments.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services and technologies from GCP and Azure, focusing on hybrid architectures that meet diverse client requirements.
• Create and maintain robust data platforms that support analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence initiatives across both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services in hybrid environments.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and optimize resource utilization for hybrid architectures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of cloud architects, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends related to hybrid architectures, GCP, and Azure to drive innovation within EY and for our clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations specific to GCP, Azure, and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful hybrid cloud implementations on GCP and Azure.
• Extensive knowledge of GCP and Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security solutions, with a focus on hybrid architectures.
• Experience in developing landing areas for data ingestion and management, as well as data platforms that support analytics and machine learning.
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and data management in hybrid cloud environments.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
