Tax Special Projects Manager

As a Tax Special Projects Manager at MongoDB, you will play a crucial role in supporting tax initiatives and deliverables across various tax functions. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing tax-related initiatives and deliverables by implementing process improvements, workstream integrations, and new tax procedures - Providing assistance and coverage to ensure deadlines are met by collaborating with the tax team - Taking ownership of recurring deliverables with a cross-functional tax impact - Collaborating with different teams to drive tax project milestones and ensure seamless execution - Developing project plans, setting timelines, and monitoring progress to achieve key objectives within agreed deadlines - Providing regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders on project status, risks, roadblocks, and successes - Identifying inefficiencies in current tax workflows and supporting teams to enhance tax operation processes - Ensuring comprehensive project documentation for future reference, including plans, timelines, and key decisions Qualifications required for this role: - A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting - Minimum of 7 years of experience in a large corporate tax environment, including experience in Big 4 or similar environments - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a sense of urgency - Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel - Ability to exercise sound judgment in decision-making situations MongoDB is dedicated to fostering a supportive and enriching culture for its employees to drive personal growth and business impact.
