Tax Consultant

As a Direct Tax Consultant/ Sr. Consultant, you will be responsible for managing income tax assessments, reassessments, and departmental inquiries. Your role will involve preparing and drafting responses to notices, submissions, and appeals before tax authorities. Additionally, you will assist in tax litigation, including the preparation of appeal papers for CIT(A), ITAT, and coordination with legal counsel. Handling tax audits, computation of taxable income, and filing income tax returns will also be part of your responsibilities. Ensuring timely and accurate compliance with all direct tax regulations is crucial, along with conducting research on tax issues, circulars, case laws, and amendments. You will provide tax insights and support during financial planning to internal teams and liaise with tax authorities, representing the company in hearings. Maintaining documentation and records for assessments and litigations will also be key responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory Required Skills & Competencies: - Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act, case laws, and taxation procedures - Hands-on experience in litigation support and assessment handling - Excellent drafting and analytical skills - Proficiency in MS Office, taxation software, and e-filing portals - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work under deadlines and manage high-pressure situations,
