Job Description

As a Tax Accountant at Petrofac, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and compliance of tax-related matters for the organization. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support the tax assessment process, manage tax risks, and optimize tax compliance procedures. Your expertise will contribute to the overall financial control framework and enhance the efficiency of tax reporting processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Review and document all positions in filed tax returns to ensure audit readiness - Assist in preparing local transfer pricing documentation and reports - Support tax assessment/audit processes and other tax controversy matters - Identify and communicate tax risks to management, recommend mitigations - Implement solutions to enhance tax compliance and reporting processes - Stay updated on tax laws and regulations affecting the role - Ensure compliance with tax laws and Petrofac Group policies - Address ad-hoc tax queries and support tax-related projects - Manage external tax advisers, their fees, and performance - Maintain effective financial controls to ensure the integrity of accounts - Monitor financial statement risks related to tax and implement controls - Optimize the financial controls framework - Provide timely and accurate support for tax reporting - Identify and communicate process inefficiencies for improvement - Build a network of key stakeholders for process enhancements - Improve data management and report automation through collaboration **Qualifications & Skills:** - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Intermediate qualification - Strong knowledge of Direct and Indirect Taxation, CIT, GST, TDS - Hands-on experience in Oracle systems, including TRCS modules - Proficient in Microsoft Excel, report writing, and analytics - Collaborative mindset and relationship-building skills - Ability to analyze processes, identify areas for improvement, and drive change - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Minimum 2 years of taxation experience in a multinational company - Big 4 Accounting Firm trained, experience in EPC contractor or oilfield services preferred - Knowledge of Oracle ERP and IFRS application - Effective global team player, deadline-focused, resilient - Self-managing, detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills Join Petrofac as a Tax Accountant and contribute to shaping a better future through your tax expertise and financial acumen.
