Tandoor Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Comii 1,2 Tandoor to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using traditional tandoor methods. Your expertise in food preparation and cooking will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Operate the tandoor oven to cook various dishes, ensuring optimal flavour and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Assist in meal preparation and plating, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages as needed.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant environment.
• Familiarity with tandoor cooking techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
