Tableau Developer

As a Tableau Developer in Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane, you will play a crucial role in serving as a technical resource for specific departments or functional areas. Your responsibilities will include developing and modifying reports and dashboards, establishing connections to new and existing data sources, preparing data for Tableau usage, creating extracts, publishing data sources and workbooks, developing custom scripts, coordinating data releases, and performing complex technical tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, publish, test, and troubleshoot dashboards and data sources within the SSA Program. - Act as the secondary point of contact to communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders, including Functional Users, Tableau Admin Team, Database Administrators, and Data Governance Team. - Establish connections to data sources and prepare data for Tableau usage. - Develop workbooks, hyper extracts, and perform data modeling in Tableau Desktop. - Publish workbooks and data sources to Tableau Development and QA sites. - Refresh extracts and monitor extract schedules on QA sites. - Perform unit testing and resolve any data or performance issues related to workbooks and data sources. - Catalog measures and dimensions in Collibra and manage access for Interactors and Viewers. - Provide knowledge transfer and support to Interactors and Viewers. - Coordinate with Tableau Admin Team for Production Deployment. - Provide Tier 1 support for Tableau issues reported by departmental or group personnel. - Monitor the usage report of workbooks and data sources. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of Tableau development experience, including recent experience in Tableau 10. - Advanced SQL understanding and ability to write optimized queries. - Thorough understanding of data warehouses and dimensional models. - Experience in data wrangling, live connections, TDE, data blending, etc. before connecting to data sources in Tableau. - Proficiency in generating operational reports, BI reports, dashboards, and data models through advanced use of Tableau. - Experience in scoping, requirements gathering, implementation, training, and maintenance of reporting systems. - Ability to perform root cause analysis for data quality, redundancy elimination, source identification, and data reconciliation.,
