Description
As a Tableau Analyst at Illumina, you will play a crucial role in the Finance performance management team in Bangalore, India. Your primary responsibility will be to drive the scale out and sustainability of the enterprise planning and analytics environment. By leveraging your Tableau expertise, you will build robust KPIs and dashboards to derive actionable insights for the Finance team's forecasting and reporting needs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Create, update, and optimize Tableau dashboards and data visualizations to facilitate data-driven decision-making. - Utilize Tableau's platform to generate valuable insights and drive business decisions effectively. - Design and develop reports using various graphical and data modeling techniques to enhance data visualization. - Establish and monitor new KPIs, ensuring data accuracy and relevance for informed decision-making. - Collect and normalize data from multiple sources to ensure consistency and completeness in reporting. - Create, test, and deploy dashboards and reports, and set up automated data refreshes for timely information. - Define access controls and implement necessary security measures to safeguard sensitive data. - Conduct in-depth data analysis to generate accurate, actionable reports for strategic planning. - Design wireframes and prototype beta dashboards focusing on user experience and visibility enhancement. - Continuously monitor and enhance the performance and functionality of Tableau reports and dashboards. - Develop and implement best practices for system processes, new models, enhancements, and training to optimize operations. - Build and maintain positive relationships with key business partners, understand their reporting needs, and provide innovative solutions. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in developing and managing Tableau-driven dashboards and analytics effectively. - Strong ability to query and handle large data sets while ensuring optimal workbook performance. - Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - 2+ years of Tableau development experience with expertise in SQL, relational database management systems, data modeling, and standardization techniques. - Exceptional attention to detail, commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work, and excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. - Business knowledge of finance and/ or accounting functions is a plus. In terms of education, a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Applied Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field along with 2+ years of related experience is required. Alternatively, a Master's degree without experience or equivalent experience will be considered. Possessing Tableau Certifications would be an additional advantage for this role.
