Job Description

Role Overview:

The Systems Reliability Engineer II Hardware will focus on ensuring the reliability, performance, and durability of hardware systems throughout their lifecycle. The role involves testing, analyzing failures, identifying root causes, and driving improvements in hardware design, manufacturing, and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform hardware reliability testing (HALT, HASS, thermal cycling, vibration, shock, etc.) to assess product robustness.
Analyze system and component failures, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
Develop and implement reliability test plans, procedures, and metrics for new and existing hardware systems.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve product reliability and reduce field failures.
Monitor field performance data, track reliability KPIs, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Support failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability block diagrams, and predictive modeling.
Contribute to design-for-reliability (DfR) practices during hardware development.
Work with suppliers to ensure reliability standards are met in components and materials.
Maintain documentation of test results, reliability standards, and certification compliance.
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in reliability engineering.
