System Studies Team Manager - HVDC

As the Team Manager at INOPC-HVDC in Chennai, your role will involve overseeing a specific group's strategy, operations, resource planning, competence development, and personnel development. Tasks will include analysis, risk management, and working closely with the tender responsible on tender calculations and pricing models. Your impact will be significant in the following ways: - Planning and allocating resources based on tender and project forecasts in conjunction with the global organization. - Ensuring department KPIs are met, such as on-time delivery, first-pass yield, and productivity, and achieving financial targets. - Reviewing and approving techno-economic offerings for tenders/projects, assessing risks and opportunities. - Conducting regular reviews and follow-ups with project teams, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers. - Managing personnel assessments, setting targets for direct reports, and identifying and addressing development areas. - Planning for future expansion and competence development, driving operational improvements locally. - Contributing to strategic initiatives and developing local strategies and roadmaps. - Upholding Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for actions and showing care for colleagues and the business. Your background should include: - Bachelor's/master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. - Minimum 3 years of experience as a Line Manager/Team Leader with a team size of at least 10+. - Basic knowledge in HVDC/FACTS/Substation is preferred. - Experience in HVDC/FACTS systems is advantageous. - Strong leadership skills with good intercultural sensitivity. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
