System Software Engineer

As a part of the team redefining wireless technology, you will work on the design, development, and integration of critical elements of system software for gigabit wireless communication systems. You should possess the ability to work independently, communicate ideas clearly, lead features from requirements to completion, and come up with optimal solutions to resolve issues in a timely manner. Your passion for continuous learning and collaboration with team members is crucial. **Key Responsibilities:** - Requirements gathering, high-level design, and documentation - Interface design, protocol state machine design, and test framework design - Implementation of modules on a C++/Linux system - Design reviews and code reviews - System integration and debugging on complex embedded hardware platforms - Performance optimization of network and packet processing **Qualifications Required:** - BS in Computer Science/Engineering with 2-10 years of experience, MS/PhD preferred with 1-5 years of relevant experience - Proficiency in C++ programming - Experience with Linux-based development, debugging, tracing, and benchmarking - Deep understanding of Linux programming including IPCs, multi-threading, socket-programming, and system-programming - Knowledge of computer networks (TCP/IP), protocols, and Internet architecture - Working knowledge of protobuf, gtest, gmock, grpc, and build tools like bazel desirable - Familiarity with python, golang, and bash scripting is a plus - Experience with version control systems (git) and collaboration tools **Additional Company Details:** Tarana's mission is to accelerate the deployment of fast, affordable, and reliable internet access globally.
