System Reliability Engineer (Release Management)

As an IT Operations Engineer at Fulcrum Digital, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the production environment, ensuring availability and system health. You will play a crucial role in improving the reliability and quality of infrastructure and applications. Key responsibilities include: - Monitoring and ensuring the availability of the production environment - Enhancing the reliability and quality of infrastructure and applications - Managing vulnerability assessments and ensuring timely resolution of priority issues - Collaborating with stakeholders to apply relevant patches to Unix servers, Oracle databases, and Java-based applications - Providing operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed software applications - Scheduling patching activities on production systems without impacting customer traffic - Managing security certificates, monitoring expiry dates, and ensuring timely renewal - Participating in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning - Initiating Change requests and Work orders, obtaining approvals, and overseeing patching activities - Participating in Change approval board meetings and ensuring Change requests are processed within SLAs - Collaborating with specialized teams to identify system vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans - Ensuring adherence to change management and incident management practices - Developing solutions post-incident to prevent re-occurrence - Tracking and managing RAIDs (Risk, Assumption, Issues, and Dependencies) Qualifications required for this role include proficiency in: - Linux (Basic) - ITIL, Release & Change Management, Application Troubleshooting - SQL (Basic) - Any Monitoring tool (Preferred Splunk/Dynatrace) - Jenkins - CI/CD (Basic) - Git basic/bit bucket - basic - Ansible/Chef (good to have) - Post pre-deployment process, Governance - Understanding of Maturity model Please note that the Job Opening ID for this position is RRF_5842.
