As a System Engineer specializing in Industry 4.0 technologies at Saint-Gobain in Chennai, you will be a vital part of Indec 4.0, the Global Competency Center dedicated to improving manufacturing processes across Saint-Gobain's 800+ factories globally. Working alongside a team of over 350 experts, your focus will be on industrial automation, communication, MES, data analytics, and IoT to create, implement, and enhance advanced systems that boost productivity and efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and develop industrial automation solutions. - Manage communication protocols effectively. - Configure MES for optimized operations. - Analyze data for process enhancements. - Integrate IoT devices for real-time monitoring. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful execution of Industry 4.0 projects. - Troubleshoot system issues and apply Industry 4.0 trends to ongoing initiatives. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation. - Proficiency in communication protocols, MES platforms, data analytics tools, IoT frameworks, and Ignition software. - Expertise in Python, database management, problem-solving, and collaboration.
