We are seeking a skilled AWS Support Engineer to provide technical expertise and operational support for AWS end-user computing services, including Amazon WorkSpaces, AppStream 2.0, and Workspaces Web. This role focuses on troubleshooting, incident resolution, and ensuring reliability and performance of virtual desktop environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Security, Networking, and Desktop Engineering to deliver a seamless experience for end-users while maintaining compliance and security standards.Key Responsibilities
: Provide Tier 2/3 support for AWS WorkSpaces, AppStream 2.0, and WorkSpaces Web environments, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation. Diagnose and resolve complex issues across networking, authentication, and application layers, escalating to engineering teams when necessary. Monitor system health, availability, and performance using observability tools; implement proactive measures to prevent downtime. Assist with integration of AWS Directory Service, IAM, and third-party IdPs (e.g., Entra ID) for secure authentication and SSO. Support implementation of security best practices, including MFA, conditional access, and least-privilege IAM. Collaborate with global teams to ensure compliance with FedRAMP, HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC standards. Document troubleshooting steps, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles for internal and end-user reference. Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely resolution for critical incidents.Work closely with engineering teams to suggest improvements in reliability, automation, and cost optimisation. Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and provide clear status updates during incident management.Key Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical support or cloud operations roles, with at least 2+ years hands-on with AWS services. Strong knowledge of Amazon WorkSpaces, AppStream 2.0, and related AWS ecosystem components. Solid understanding of Active Directory, SSO/Federation (SAML/OIDC), and endpoint profile strategies. Networking fundamentals (VPC, subnets, DNS, routing, security groups) and Windows client/server troubleshooting. Experience with scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, AWS CLI). Familiarity with cloud security principles and zero-trust frameworks. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong English communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect). Experience with observability platforms (Datadog, Splunk) and operational dashboards. Exposure to GPU workloads and NICE DCV for graphics-intensive environments.Eligibility
