System Administrator & Operations Associate

As a Networking & Hardware Support Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our network and hardware systems. Your responsibilities will include: - **Network Infrastructure Management**: Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security. - **Hardware Support**: Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripheral devices. - **Technical Support**: Providing timely assistance to end-users for network and hardware-related issues, documenting incidents, and tracking them using ticketing systems. - **System Monitoring**: Proactively monitoring network performance and hardware health to identify and resolve potential issues and minimize downtime. - **Collaboration**: Working closely with software development and IT teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and performance standards. - **Documentation**: Maintaining detailed records of network configurations, hardware inventories, and support activities. - **Training & Mentorship**: Assisting in training junior IT staff and end-users on best practices for hardware and network usage. To qualify for this role, you should have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Minimum of 4 years experience in a networking and hardware support role, preferably within an IT services environment. - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent. - Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware troubleshooting, and familiarity with network monitoring tools. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and network issues. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Preferred qualifications include advanced certifications like Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Security+, experience with virtualization and cloud platforms, knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks, and industry knowledge in software development or IT services company with a focus on infrastructure support.
