System Administrator (Linux)

Job Overview:

We are looking for a talented, diligent system administrator to maintain and administer our company's networked computer systems. The system administrator's responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, also ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security.

To be successful as a system administrator, you should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions. The best system administrator will also be a team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Responsibility & Duties:

• Install and configure software and hardware
• Manage network servers and technology tools
• Set up accounts and workstations
• Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
• Troubleshoot issues and outages
• Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls
• Upgrade systems with new releases and models
• Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.

Skill Required:

• Knowledge of basic AWS, basic shell script, basic Linux commands, OS installation, Package installation Linux and windows, Network troubleshooting, and Hardware troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management
• Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Any certified courses related to system admin are an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹200,000.00 per year
