System Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers (Windows/Linux) and related infrastructure.
  
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user account provisioning.
  
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide Level 2/3 support.
  
• Perform regular backup and recovery operations; ensure disaster recovery readiness.
  
• Apply OS patches, updates, and manage system upgrades with minimal downtime.
  
• Implement and enforce IT security policies, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
  
• Maintain virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud services (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  
• Manage email systems (Microsoft 365/Exchange/Google Workspace).
  
• Monitor networks, configure switches/routers/firewalls, and ensure connectivity.
  
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident management.
  
• Support end-users with technical issues, ensuring minimal business disruption.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  

• 3-6 years

  of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux server administration.
  
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  
• Networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, LAN/WAN.
  
• Hands-on with backup/restore tools and disaster recovery solutions.
  
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: System Administrator / Azure Administrator Associate
  
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) / Engineer (RHCE)
  
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
  
• CompTIA Security+ / Network+
