System Administrator

The System Administrator at Drivensteel Engineering Pvt. Ltd., located in Nashik, is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying, and supporting the organization's computer systems. This role involves upgrading and managing both software and hardware components. The IT System Administrator is required to address issues related to Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks, and network segments, while also maintaining operating systems, business applications, security tools, web-servers, email systems, laptops, and desktop PCs. Key responsibilities of the System Administrator include installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and networks, monitoring system performance, creating backups to safeguard data, performing system upgrades, managing internal documentation through a Wiki, setting up accounts and workstations, ensuring network integrity and security, and monitoring and maintaining network servers like file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems. The role also involves troubleshooting issues, ensuring system security and efficiency, installing and configuring software and hardware, managing network servers and technology tools, and upgrading systems with new releases and models. The ideal candidate for this position should have proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role. They should possess knowledge of databases, networks (LAN, WAN), and patch management, as well as system security and data backup/recovery. Additionally, expertise in scripting languages like Python or Perl, familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, resourcefulness, problem-solving aptitude, and knowledge of email client software such as MS-Outlook are essential. The System Administrator should also be proficient in managing local users, groups, access control on network resources, installing network printers on desktops, and troubleshooting problems related to domains and Microsoft Outlook versions. Qualifications required for this role include a BSc/B.A. in Information Technology or Computer Science. The System Administrator may also be involved in responding to technical support calls, setting up new computers, networks, and software, configuring user accounts and profiles, installing software updates, diagnosing network and software issues, managing hardware and software inventories, maintaining server backups, and keeping records of issues and solutions for future reference.,
