Job Description

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:

    • Provide timely technical support to users via phone, email, or in person.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
    • Assist users with basic computer functions, software applications, and technical queries.
  2. System & Software Management:

    • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
    • Perform regular software updates, patches, and system maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
    • Set up and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals as needed.
  3. Network Administration:

    • Manage and troubleshoot networking issues, including connectivity, bandwidth, and security.
    • Ensure the security and privacy of systems and data by implementing and following company policies.
    • Monitor network performance and optimize it as necessary.
  4. Collaboration & Problem Resolution:

    • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
    • Document technical processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference.
    • Provide training to users on basic computer functions and software applications.
  5. Asset Management:

    • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets, ensuring they are up-to-date and in good condition.
    • Manage hardware lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and disposal.

Qualifications:

  1. Education:

    • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Experience:

    • Proven experience as a System Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or similar role.
    • Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus.
  3. Technical Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and MS Outlook.
    • Proficiency in networking concepts and troubleshooting.
    • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
    • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are desirable.
  4. Soft Skills:

    • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
