About the Role

The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks. This role ensures the smooth functioning of the organization’s IT infrastructure and provides support to end-users for system and network-related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation & Maintenance

Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware. Perform regular updates, upgrades, and security patching.

• Network Management

Monitor LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues. Configure routers, switches, and firewalls as needed.

• Server Management

Manage Windows/Linux servers and virtual machines. Ensure server backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery plans are in place.

• User Support & Troubleshooting

Provide technical support to staff and students (if in a training environment). Troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues.

• Security & Compliance

Ensure IT security best practices including antivirus, firewall, and access control. Maintain user access permissions and data privacy.

• Asset & Documentation Management

Maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and IT assets. Document configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Email & Communication Systems

Manage institutional email servers and related services (e.g., Outlook, Google Workspace). Ensure uptime and configuration of internal communication tools.

• Coordination & Vendor Management

Coordinate with vendors for purchase, warranty, AMC, and repair services. Assist with IT procurement planning.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6 months of experience in system/network administration.
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux OS, networking concepts, and system tools.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, backups, and recovery solutions.
• Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or Red Hat (RHCE) preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Working Conditions: On-site role with occasional off-hours support. May require physical activity related to hardware installation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
