We have been mandated by a large conglomerate into Iron & Steel business for the below mentioned position.

Position Name : Switchyard Incharge - 132/33 KV

Location : Boisar

Qualification : Diploma / B Tech - Electrical

Experience : 7 + Years

Purpose of the Role

The Switchyard In-Charge will be responsible for the complete operation, maintenance, safety, and reliability of the 132/33 kV switchyard and associated substation equipment like Min 50 MVA transformer, VCB, Siemens and L&T Relays,SF6 breakers etc operation and maintenance. The role demands deep technical expertise, team leadership, adherence to safety protocols, and strong coordination with grid operators and maintenance teams. Proficiency in SAP for asset management and maintenance tracking is essential

Job Responsibilities (KRA)

• Operational Management:

• Supervise daily operation of the 132/33 kV switchyard and associated equipment (breakers, isolators, transformers, protection systems, etc.).
• Ensure real-time monitoring, fault analysis, and immediate rectification of abnormalities.
• Coordinate with MSEDCL for load management and shutdowns.

• Maintenance & Reliability:

• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of switchyard assets as per OEM and statutory guidelines.
• Ensure minimum downtime and high availability of the substation.
• Review test reports (IR, Tan Delta, CT/PT testing, etc.) and ensure corrective actions.

• Safety & Compliance:

• Implement safety protocols as per IE rules and organizational standards.
• Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and implement corrective measures.
• Maintain statutory records, ensure compliance with CEA/CEA regulations.

• Team Leadership:

• Manage a team of technicians and engineers, allocate duties, and conduct training.
• Oversee shift rosters and ensure 24/7 readiness of the operation team.

• SAP & Documentation:

• Use

  SAP-PM

  module for maintenance planning, breakdown logging, asset tracking, and inventory management.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive operational reports, equipment history, and maintenance schedules.
