Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Conduct audits:
Perform comprehensive audits of surgical processes, documentation, and medical records to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Ensure compliance:
Verify that all activities meet required quality standards, such as those from regulatory bodies, payers, and the organization itself.
Identify and report findings:
Inspect processes and records, identify non-conformities or areas for improvement, and document findings clearly in audit reports.
Drive corrective actions:
Work with surgical and other departments to develop and implement corrective actions to address identified issues.
Promote continuous improvement:
Participate in and drive initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and patient safety within the surgical environment.

Ability to analyze data, identify root causes of quality issues, and develop effective solutions.
Communication and interpersonal skills:
Strong ability to communicate findings and collaborate with different teams and stakeholders.
Attention to detail:
Meticulous approach to reviewing complex surgical and medical records.
Knowledge of quality management:
Understanding of quality management systems, auditing tools, and regulatory requirements.
Medical and surgical knowledge:
Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical procedures, coding (e.g., CPT, ICD-10), and clinical best practices is often essential.
Organizational skills:
Excellent time management and record-keeping abilities.

*Required minimum 1 year experience as QA.*
