Job Description

Shift Management:
Oversee all machining operations during the assigned shift to ensure smooth workflow, adherence to schedules, and timely completion of production targets.
Team Supervision:
Lead and guide CNC operators, machinists, and technicians; allocate tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical and behavioral support.
Production Monitoring:
Track daily production metrics to ensure output meets quality and quantity standards; adjust priorities or resources as required to meet delivery timelines.
Machine Oversight:
Monitor CNC and conventional machine performance; coordinate routine and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
Quality Assurance:
Inspect components and processes to verify conformance with design specifications, tolerances, and customer requirements.
Safety & Compliance:
Enforce safety standards and protocols; conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environment.
Training & Development:
Coach and train new team members on CNC operations, quality checks, safety procedures, and shop floor practices.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate shift logs, production reports, maintenance records, and incident documentation; communicate updates to management and incoming shifts.
Inventory Management:
Track tooling, consumables, and raw material usage; report shortages and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid production delays.
Cross-Shift Coordination:
Collaborate with other shift supervisors to ensure seamless handovers, issue resolution, and production continuity.
Technical Troubleshooting:
Handle troubleshooting on both conventional and non-conventional machines; perform tool changes and optimize machining parameters as needed.
CMM Correction:
Review CMM reports and carry out necessary dimensional corrections to ensure part accuracy.
Standards Compliance:
Ensure awareness and effective implementation of IATF 16949 standards across shift operations.
Root Cause Analysis:
Conduct RCA for quality or process deviations using 8D, 6W2H, and Fishbone methodologies to identify and eliminate root causes.
Performance Control:
Manage key operational parameters Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Morale (P-Q-C-D-S-M) to achieve shift targets.
Continuous Improvement:
Apply 7 QC tools for problem-solving and process optimization; drive improvement initiatives within the shift.
CNC Program & Setting Changes:
Modify and set CNC programs as per customer requirements and production changes.
