Role Overview: As a Support Engineer at our premier financial technology solutions provider client in Chennai, you will play a key role in providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of various operating systems. Your responsibilities will include monitoring alerts, resolving technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining technical documentation. You will need to be willing to work in rotational shifts and have strong technical and soft skills to succeed in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor alerts received from systems and address or escalate as per established service levels - Respond to questions/requests from clients and resolve issues in a timely manner within your scope of responsibility - Perform system maintenance activities as per guidelines provided - Collaborate with cross-functional teams on troubleshooting and escalate issues as needed - Follow established support processes and analyze for automation opportunities - Establish and maintain code control for scripts using industry standard tools Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent - 2-3 years of experience in IT Operations - Experience in the technology or IT industry is a plus - Technical Skills: - Windows Operating Systems Server 2016, 2019 - Microsoft Office tools, Office 365 - Scripting Languages such as VBScript, Windows Batch - Web servers such as IIS, Apache Tomcat - Data Files moves and transfers (Sftp, Winscp, MQ) - Working knowledge of SQL (backups, performance monitoring, basics queries) - Soft Skills: - Clear communications (listening, oral and written communications) - Team player with strong collaboration skills - Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and follow processes - Self-driven, proactive, and quick learner - Customer service orientation with the ability to work in shifts and multitask Please send your updated resume to sankaran@kbsconsultants.com if you are interested in this Support Engineer position.
