Support Engineer (Apprenticeship)

Role & responsibilities

The main purpose of this position is to ensure the accurate and efficient monitoring, management, and optimization of physical assets critical to operations. Their role involves developing and implementing robust asset tracking systems to enhance visibility, reliability, and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle

Preferred candidate profile

• Develop and maintain asset tracking systems to monitor the location, status, and condition of ROVs and related equipment ( including other business segments assets).
• Participate in training sessions and knowledge sharing activities to build awareness and understanding of asset tracking processes across the organization.
• Oversee the certification process for ROVs and associated equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry requirements.
• Manage documentation related to asset tracking, including maintenance records, inspection reports, and certification documentation.
• Database Management using helpdesk and knowledge base software like Peoplesoft, Business Intelligence, Smart Sheets, etc with precision.
• Prepare customized reports and dashboards for Operations, Commercial Bidding, Technical Departments, and Senior management.
• Identify, Evaluate, and Interpret trends for detailed analysis of data.
• Utilize Smartsheets or similar project management tools to create and manage specification sheets, project schedules, and performance evaluation reports.
• Provide onshore support to project teams and operational staff during ROV deployments, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions in real-time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address any support needs related to ROV operations, ensuring seamless integration with overall project objectives.
• Utilize SharePoint or similar collaboration platforms to create and manage documentation repositories for ROV specifications, maintenance procedures, and performance evaluation reports.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• B. TECH in ELECTRONICS /ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL Engineering
• Able to work in rotational shifts 42.5 hours (weekly) (Morning, Evening, Night & Weekends)
• Knowledge of MS-Office and computer fundamentals
• Must be willing to Work from office as and when needed.

DESIRED

• 0-1-year experience in Support Operations
