Job Title: Software Support Engineer Amazon Location: Hyderabad, India Experience: 3 - 6 years Employment Type: Permanent Job Description Amazon is looking for a Software Support Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad . This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in technical support and scripting, and a passion for operational excellence. You will be responsible for managing support tickets, developing maintenance tools, and ensuring the reliability and performance of distributed systems. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support by resolving incoming tickets and performing detailed troubleshooting Work on maintenance-driven development projects primarily using Java and Python Support software deployments in both staging and production environments Develop internal tools and automation to streamline operations Generate system and support status reports Take ownership of services/components and ensure consistent uptime Manage workflow coordination, customer communication, and SLA compliance Collaborate with global support teams and contribute to internal knowledge base Required Skills and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in software development or technical support Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills in complex technical systems Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Shell) Good communication and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of web services, distributed systems , and web application development Experience working with REST APIs , XML , and JSON Familiarity with hardware/software RAID configurations Understanding of service-oriented architecture and monitoring tools Key Skills: Technical Support, Software Maintenance, Scripting (Python/Java), REST APIs, Web Services, JSON, XML, Troubleshooting, Distributed Systems
