Job Description

As a Senior Engineer in the BF E&I WML department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of electrical and instrumentation systems in the Blast Furnace. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of Regulatory Acts/Laws, Compliance & Safety, and Preventive Maintenance. Your role will also involve a significant amount of decision-making and people management, requiring a strong business and commercial acumen, as well as a global mindset. Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical maintenance and engineering in the Blast Furnace. Ensure compliance with all relevant Regulatory Acts/Laws and safety standards. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase operational efficiency. Liaise with various stakeholders, including suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure the smooth operation of the Blast Furnace. Make informed decisions regarding the procurement of equipment and the allocation of resources. Manage a team of engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support as needed. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Keep abreast of the latest developments in electrical and instrumentation engineering and incorporate them into the company's operations as appropriate. Demonstrate strong business and commercial acumen, making decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives. Exhibit a global mindset, considering the broader implications of decisions and actions.
