Job Purpose/ Summary: As the Head of Innovation & Technology, the incumbent will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company's technology initiatives and ensuring the successful execution of the company's business mission through the development and deployment of the company's manufacturing technology, plant automation, and digital transformation. The role involves driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring the seamless integration of technology solutions in the manufacturing process. Job Description: As the Head of Innovation & Technology, the Deputy General Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of the company's technology and innovation initiatives. This role will be pivotal in driving digital transformation, plant automation, and smart manufacturing processes. The incumbent will be expected to bring a strong business and commercial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and a global mindset to the role. The role requires a leader who can drive change, foster collaboration, and inspire innovation within the team. Principal Accountabilities: The position will be reporting to Chief Digital Information Officer of Welspun Corp Ltd Lead the development and implementation of the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives Oversee the design and delivery of innovative manufacturing technologies and production techniques to enhance efficiency and productivity Drive the digital transformation of the company by leveraging emerging technologies and implementing smart manufacturing practices Develop and implement comprehensive plant automation strategies to streamline operations and reduce costs Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and technology integration Provide leadership in change management, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement Lead the strategic planning and execution of lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize resources and enhance operational efficiency Foster a collaborative environment that encourages teamwork and innovation Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in technology, and leverage this knowledge to drive the company's technology strategy Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources Ensure the security and integrity of the company's technology infrastructure, data, and digital assets Provide strategic direction and leadership to the IT team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
