Job Description

As a Global Network Design Modeler, your role is crucial in supporting the development of next-generation network design capabilities to enable industry-leading design for all Global business units, Sectors, and ND Global Capability Centers. Your primary responsibility is to develop and refine network optimization modeling projects and analyses to source, deploy, store, and deliver products at the lowest cost while supporting long-term growth. You will drive the testing of advanced modeling tools and design new approaches to optimize the supply chain network. Your deep understanding of optimization algorithms, data science techniques, and supply chain operations will play a key role in building and analyzing optimization models using state-of-the-art software. Key Responsibilities: - Support the validation and implementation of advanced supply chain models and tools to optimize the E2E supply chain. - Identify, recommend, and develop process improvements and innovative approaches for network model building. - Develop and maintain robust network optimization models to evaluate project hypotheses and strategic alternatives. - Translate complex business problems into optimization models using tools like Supply Chain Guru. - Utilize organizational systems and tools for data collection and project analyses. - Evaluate optimization model inputs and outputs through data automation, execution, analysis, and reporting. - Partner with cross-functional teams to provide necessary inputs for long-term projects. - Manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently, working well under tight timelines. - Develop domain knowledge and Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Network Modeling and analytics. - Document model methodologies and provide training and support to analysts. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering/Supply Chain, or similar. - 9-12 years of experience in a supply chain planning/optimization function utilizing Modeling & Technical Design tools like Llamasoft, Coupa SCG, JDA, or similar. - Ability to translate business problems into analytical frameworks.
