What would you do
The Order Management Manager oversees the end-to-end order entry and processing workflow, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role involves managing a team responsible for customer order handling, pricing adjustments, inventory checks, and documentation, while driving process improvements and maintaining high service levels. Assess, design, build and Implement best practices on process, organization, and technology for Order Management from Order Creation to Order Fulfillment, financial settlement including order prioritization, purchase order receipt, invoice matching, inventory availability and promise, accuracy and fulfillment, provisioning of services and activation of billing. Includes Distributed Order Management for both on-line and physical network management.

- Education: Bachelor's degree (any discipline); MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: o 5+ years in order management or customer service operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role. o Experience in food service distribution or logistics is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: o Proficiency in order entry systems and customer service platforms. o Familiarity with inventory management and routing systems.
- Leadership Skills: o Strong ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster a collaborative environment.

- Leadership & Oversight
- Supervise and mentor the order entry team, ensuring adherence to operational guidelines and timelines.
- Allocate resources effectively to manage workload peaks and maintain service quality.
- Monitor team performance and implement training programs to enhance skills and productivity. Order Management
- Oversee customer order entry processes, including modifications, cancellations, and system updates.
- Ensure timely handling of complex order changes and system timing considerations.
- Establish and enforce best practices for managing order guides and related workflows. Pricing & Conditions
- Approve and audit order-level and item-specific pricing conditions, including shipping fees and sale price overrides.
- Ensure compliance with pricing policies and validate reason codes for adjustments.
- Monitor post-fill price adjustments and resolve discrepancies promptly. Inventory & Lookup
- Supervise inventory checks during order entry and ensure accurate item availability.
- Guide the team in utilizing lookup tools for previous orders and purchase history.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to address stock issues and optimize inventory visibility. Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure accurate generation and management of cut/pick/no-pick tickets, including adherence to timelines and notification protocols.
- Maintain compliance with documentation standards and audit readiness. Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in order processing and implement automation or workflow enhancements.
- Collaborate with IT and operations teams to optimize order entry systems and reporting tools.
