Job Description

The Supply Chain Analyst role at Cummins involves utilizing analytical and quantitative methods to comprehend, predict, and improve supply chain processes. As an analyst, your primary responsibility will be to analyze performance, identify areas for enhancement, and provide actionable recommendations to support Cummins" supply chain. You will also be required to offer coordination support to stakeholders and suppliers, primarily catering to the US time zone. Your key responsibilities will include coordinating with internal and external suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders, processing and monitoring purchase orders to suppliers in alignment with the supply plan, monitoring and adjusting procurement signals, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and supply chain metrics, providing repeatable and scalable analytics and reporting through existing business systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data across all supply chain reports and analytics, participating in continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects, and supporting inventory management and planning efforts using advanced planning tools such as Xelus, GOMS, and aftermarket material planning systems. In terms of competencies, you are expected to communicate effectively by delivering clear and concise messages tailored to varied audiences, drive results by demonstrating a track record of achieving and exceeding goals, maintain a global perspective by considering international implications and best practices in supply chain decisions, manage complexity by synthesizing large amounts of data and information to solve problems, optimize work processes by continuously improving processes for efficiency and quality, and value differences by embracing diversity of thought and culture to drive better outcomes. From a technical skills perspective, you should be proficient in Materials Planning System Utilization, Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Inventory Management and Optimization, Material Planning, and Materials KPI Management. This role necessitates working during US business hours (5 PM - 2 AM IST) with night shift allowance and transportation facilities provided. Candidates must be willing and able to operate independently and as part of a global team. The required qualifications for this position include a college, university, or equivalent degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Additionally, 1 to 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or logistics is preferred, along with exposure to planning tools such as Xelus, GOMS, or other ERP/MRP systems. Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities using Excel, Access, BI dashboards, etc., are essential. Experience in working night shifts or with US-based operations is considered a plus. This is a night shift role from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST, with night shift allowance and pickup and drop facilities provided within PMC & PCMC jurisdiction.
