Job Description

Role & responsibilities

For the new Safran Electronics & Defense Bengaluru's production site, this role's objective is to ensure the conformity of the measuring and/or testing tools and equipment as well as the reliability of the measurement and/or testing results throughout the product life cycle. To develop measurement methods and make the process evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define and organize the monitoring of a pool of measuring and testing equipment and optimize its monitoring

- Participate in the definition of the local standards and procedures for the calibration and verification of measurement and testing equipment

- Participate in the definition and validation of all calibration and verification of measuring and testing equipments instructions

- Organize and contribute to the monitoring of the calibration suppliers/subcontractors

- In the event of a non-conformance/deviation regarding the metrology result or associated methodology, alert and proceed with recording, initiate the non-conformity process and impact analyses, work with the department involved to seek for solutions

- Contribute to the supplier selection process (managed by the purchasing department)

- Ensure the regulatory and contractual requirements are implemented and monitor the associated compliance

- Implement, in conjunction with the relevant department, the actions to achieve the operational performance objectives

- Manage the quality actions related to suppliers escalations as well as the ones related to associated non-conformities

- Participate in the supplier maturity improvement process

Lead the supplier monitoring

Key Skills Required:

Experience in an industrial environment (aerospace is a plus)

Knowledge in Quality standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, ISO17025

Knowledge in NADCAP

Knowledge in Special Processes

Knowledge on Quality tools (8D/ APQP/ FMEA / Risk Management / QRQC )

Knowledge of specific aviation legislation (PART21G / PART145) is beneficial but not mandatory

Experienced in Supplier Quality Assurance

Experienced in Metrology

Interpersonal skills

Fluent English oral and written is required

Fluent in Kanada

Communication skills in a multicultural environment

Engineering background skills or Masters in a technical field or equivalent experienced

Establish cooperative and partnership relationships

Should be a Team player
