Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily logistics activities including inbound and outbound transportation, material handling, and dispatch operations.
  
• Ensure proper documentation of dispatches, gate passes, GRNs (Goods Receipt Notes), and weighbridge records.
  
• Coordinate with transporters, warehouse teams, and production departments for smooth operations.
  
• Monitor vehicle placement, loading/unloading, and turnaround time to optimize efficiency.
  
• Ensure compliance with SAP entries, stock reconciliations, and system-based reporting.
  
• Track freight costs and assist in controlling transportation expenses.
  
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and statutory requirements related to logistics and transportation.
  
• Handle transport-related issues such as shortages, damages, or delays, and escalate as needed.
  
• Maintain daily/weekly/monthly MIS reports related to logistics and share with management.
  
• Supervise and guide logistics staff and contract workers for effective performance.
  
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as transporters, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of logistics operations in a manufacturing/plant setup (preferably cement industry).
  
• Proficiency in

  SAP

  and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good understanding of supply chain processes, transport management, and warehouse operations.
  
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Knowledge of statutory compliances related to logistics and transportation.
  
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage a small team.
