Substation Expert

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering
.
Minimum
15 years of international professional experience
in substation projects (AIS & GIS).
Proven track record in substation
planning, design, management, QA/QC, and supervision
.
Strong knowledge of
modern practices and technologies
in GIS construction.
Experience working with
EAP-funded projects
and familiarity with respective tender/implementation guidelines.
Proficiency in modern substation-related software (added advantage).
Strong leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and execution of AIS and GIS substation projects.
Supervise construction, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with international standards.
Oversee quality assurance and implement best practices in modern substation technologies, particularly GIS.
Ensure strict adherence to
safety regulations
throughout the entire construction cycle.
Provide technical expertise on
EAP-funded projects
, including compliance with tender and implementation guidelines.
Utilize modern software tools relevant to substation design and management.
