Role & responsibilities A. Purpose /Role of the job: Describe in 1 phrase what contribution the job is expected to make to the organizations objectives Assist Site Logistics Specialist in day to day logistics activities at site to ensure the integrated and rational systems of physical distribution (storing, transportation and distribution of all incoming, intermediate and outgoing materials in accordance with company strategies). B. Environment/Context/Complexity of the job: Describe the most important internal and external factors influencing the job Internal Collaboration with site operations team viz. Production, Operations, QA etc. Limited infrastructural facilities at sites as they were not expanded while production capacities were expanded. External Dealing with external service provider viz. Transporters, Scrap Customers, Manpower & Forklift Service provider etc. Inculcation of safety awareness among service providers (forklift, truck / tanker drivers, transporters, etc.) and implementation of Styrenix safety requirements. Operations Management (Inbound Logistics & Storage) at site: Major Activities: Manage the movement of products/equipment/materials in or out of the site in accordance with organizational policy and procedure, and to comply with relevant local and international law and company process. Liaise with other departments in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant inbound activities and support in relation to the organizations sales, procurement, production and overall operating functions. Manage inbound cargoes process efficiently as per SOPs & ISO Work Manuals. Managing the internal spare part stores to ensure inventory accuracy and on time replenishment of the stock level. Dispatches of scrap material as per SOP & DOA matrix. Inculcate SHE culture among employees (company & service provider) as per Styrenix guidelines. Outcome: Ensure safe and efficient inbound logistics targets and standards through the effective management of the department. Inventory Management (RM, PM, Engineering Spares, Intermediates & FG) Major Activities: Inventory Management Daily Stock Count in silent hours, Quarterly Independent Blind Count, Quarterly Statutory Stock Count for RM, PM, Intermediates, Engineering Items & FG. Inventory Record Accuracy 100% for RM, PM, Engineering spares, Intermediates & FG. RGP Returnable Gate Pass Ensuring zero pending RGPs with close monitoring & follow up with Mechanical, Electric & Instrument Depts. Comply with law and other requirements of India. Outcome: FIFO adherence 100% Inventory Record Accuracy Avoidance of stock out situation Internal and External Audits Major Activities: Maintain an update logistics & planning procedure, work instructions and other documents in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 in HSEQ database by completely Active role in audit work to ensure an effective audit performed and respond to internal & external audits inquiry (Customs, GST, Asset Care etc.) Outcome: Effective Internal & External Control and Compliance Level of education & Knowledge: Graduate degree either in Science or Commerce. Diploma or Degree in Materials Management can be an added advantage although not mandatory. Experience in general: At least 3-5 years relevant working experience in inbound and outbound logistics of a Chemical plant. Technical skills: Striving for Achievement and Result Orientation Communication and Interpersonal Orientation Conflict Management Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Familiar with ERP system and knowledge
