Job Description

supporting students' academic, social, and emotional well-being through individual counselling, group sessions, and crisis intervention, while also collaborating with parents, teachers, and administrators to foster a safe and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities

Student Support:
Provide individual and small-group counselling to address academic difficulties, social conflicts, emotional issues, and personal concerns.
Academic and Career Guidance:
Assist students in exploring their interests, setting realistic goals, and making informed decisions about their education and future careers.
Crisis Intervention:
Offer support during emergencies, ensuring students' safety and well-being.
Collaboration:
Work with teachers, parents, and school administrators to create a supportive environment and address student challenges.
Program Development:
Design and implement programs for drug and alcohol prevention, peer mentoring, and social-emotional learning.
Resource Connection:
Refer students to external specialists, such as psychologists or mental health professionals, for further treatment.
Advocacy:
Act as a student advocate, ensuring fair treatment and the implementation of necessary accommodations for students with diverse needs.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions and interventions.
