Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Mid-Level Structural Engineer with a strong focus on steel structures. This role supports the design and detailing of structural steel systems for U.S.-based projects across industrial, warehousing, commercial, and institutional sectors. You will work closely with design leads and CAD/BIM teams to ensure accurate, code compliant, and constructible solutions. Key Responsibilities
Steel Design & Analysis:
Design and analyze structural steel systems including pre-engineered buildings (PEB), hot-rolled steel, and cold-formed steel (CFS). Connection & Member Design: Perform member sizing, base plate design, and connection detailing using tools such as TEKLA, MAKPEB, RISA-3D, STAAD, and SAP2000. Modeling & Coordination:
Collaborate with CAD/BIM teams to ensure constructability and accuracy of structural details. Prepare design markups, calculation packages, and respond to review comments. Code Compliance:
Ensure all designs meet relevant U.S. standards including AISC, AISI, ASCE 7, and IBC. Qualifications
Education: B.E./M.E. in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Experience: 3–6 years of experience in steel structure design for U.S. projects.
Technical Proficiency:
Structural software: TEKLA, MAKPEB, RISA-3D, STAAD, SAP2000. Drafting tools: AutoCAD, Bluebeam. Project Exposure: Familiarity with steel systems used in industrial, warehouse, and commercial buildings. Preferred Skills: Understanding cold-formed steel (CFS) and connection design principles
