Structural Design Engineer

As an experienced professional in the Aerospace or drone domain with at least 4 years of experience, you will join the products team and play a crucial role in various stages from initial concept development to actual production. Your responsibilities will include: - Creating 3D CAD models, preparing 2D drawings, and generating BOM. - Performing detailed design and assembly integration of aircraft subsystems. - Conducting engineering tasks related to configuring, maintaining, and upgrading CAD models. - Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts to develop cost-effective and easily fabricable designs. - Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure designs meet requirements and specifications. - Writing detailed design and fabrication instructions. - Engaging in direct communication with vendors and technicians during the manufacturing and assembly process. Your technical skills should encompass: - Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and CATIA. - Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) module is preferred. - Ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings. - Understanding of 3D printing processes and material selection. - Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems. - Experience in manufacturing composite parts and tooling design. - Strong knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
