You should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the Aerospace or drone domain to qualify for this position. As a member of the products team, you will be extensively involved in various stages ranging from initial concept development to the final production process. Your role will require a proficient understanding of CAD design and the capability to perform manual calculations for creating detailed models. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with different departments such as structural analysis, manufacturing, and integration teams. Your responsibilities will include creating 3D CAD models, preparing 2D drawings, and generating BOM. You will also be responsible for detailed design and assembly integration of aircraft subsystems, as well as engineering tasks related to configuring, maintaining, and enhancing CAD models. Applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to develop cost-effective and easy-to-fabricate designs will be crucial. Moreover, you will support the manufacturing team in validating and ensuring that the designs meet the specified requirements. Writing detailed design and fabrication instructions and engaging in direct communication with vendors and technicians during the manufacturing and assembly process will also be part of your role. In terms of technical skills, you should be knowledgeable in CAD software such as SolidWorks and CATIA. Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) module is preferred. The ability to interpret and comprehend engineering drawings, familiarity with 3D printing processes and material selection, as well as experience in PDM systems are essential. Experience in manufacturing composite parts, tooling design, and a good understanding of various manufacturing processes are also required. As for personality traits, you should possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Collaborating effectively with a diverse and distributed team of researchers and developers is essential. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, along with a high level of innovation and motivation are desirable. The capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment and meet deadlines is crucial.
