Strategic Buyer Capex - Electrical

As a Capex Procurement Specialist at our company, your key accountabilities will include establishing best-in-class sourcing strategies for Electrical Equipment's supply and services and contracts. You will be responsible for floating RFQs, preparing comparative statements, ensuring approval as per DOA, and following up for deliveries. Your role will also involve identifying opportunities for long-term contracts, continuous efforts for cost reduction and achieving savings, and measuring performance against goals and targets. You will resolve transactional issues related to local taxes, withholding taxes, etc. by interacting with cross-functional teams like finance and taxation. Anticipating cost escalations and materials/service unavailability, you will implement strategies to de-risk and ensure business continuity. Continuous engagement with the cross-functional team will be essential for timely execution of alternate vendor development when necessary. Building and nurturing strategic relationships with key vendors is crucial to ensure preferential treatment to our company in terms of technical assistance, pricing, and timely delivery of materials. Regular communication with vendors to exchange information, share performance feedback, and provide upcoming requirements for their planning will be part of your responsibilities. Stakeholder management is an integral aspect of the role, involving engagement with internal stakeholders from finance, production, engineering, logistics, import clearance, etc. to resolve issues and address concerns with proper resolutions. Sustainability activities as per EHS & CS team guidelines will also need to be incorporated into your work. Field visits to own sites or vendor sites may be required as part of your responsibilities to ensure effective site and vendor management.,
