Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Stores In-Charge with proven exposure to real estate developer projects. The role involves end-to-end site store management, market visits for material procurement support, material dispatch and inter-site movement, GRN processing, and inventory & reporting using Microsoft Excel. The position requires close coordination with project, purchase, accounts, and other site teams to ensure timely and accurate material flow across sites.

Key Responsibilities

Store & Inventory Management

• Manage day-to-day site store operations including receipt, storage, issue, and control of materials.
• Verify materials received at site against Purchase Orders, delivery challans, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and process Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) in coordination with purchase and accounts teams.
• Maintain accurate store records including inward/outward registers, stock registers, bin cards, and GRN records.
• Ensure proper stacking, preservation, safety, and identification of materials at site.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and raise timely material indents.
• Control material wastage, shortages, damages, and pilferage.
• Weekly reporting of pending Indents
• Warehouse/factory visits for quality checking

Market Visit & Procurement Support

• Conduct market visits as and when required to support the purchase team for material availability checks, rate comparison, and vendor coordination.
• Assist in identifying local suppliers, checking material quality, and ensuring timely material sourcing for site requirements.

Material Dispatch & Inter-Site Movement

• Plan and manage material dispatch from site to other company sites as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with other project sites for material transfer, receipt confirmation, and reconciliation.
• Arrange and coordinate transportation for movement of materials between sites, including vehicle planning and follow-ups.
• Maintain proper dispatch documentation, transfer challans, and acknowledgment records.

Reporting & System Updates

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory, consumption, and movement reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Update ERP / inventory management systems for material receipt, issue, return, and inter-site transfer.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies with system records.
• Manage surplus, returnable, and scrap materials as per company procedures.

Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate closely with site engineers, project managers, purchase, accounts, and other site stores.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements, company policies, and documentation standards.
• Support audits by providing accurate records and explanations for stock variances.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (stock reports, GRN tracking, consumption analysis).
• Hands-on experience in GRN preparation and inventory documentation.
• In-depth understanding of construction materials (civil, finishing, and MEP).
• Experience in material dispatch, logistics coordination, and inter-site transfers.
• Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
• Good communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
