Stores Assistant

Role Overview: As a Materials Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the unloading, checking, and receiving of materials in accordance with delivery challan and purchase order requirements. You will be responsible for tagging and storing materials in designated bins/shelves and issuing materials to fabrication, assembly, and project teams based on material requisition. It will be your duty to update stock entries in the register/system (Excel or ERP) on a daily basis and to support in conducting periodic physical stock audits. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in unloading, checking, and receiving materials following delivery challan and purchase order requirements. - Tag and store materials in designated bins/shelves and issue materials to fabrication, assembly, and project teams based on material requisition. - Update stock entries in the register/system (Excel or ERP) daily and support in conducting periodic physical stock audits. - Alert the stores executive in case of low stock or discrepancies and maintain GRNs, inward/outward registers, material movement slips, etc. - Ensure all documents are properly filed and traceable. - Prepare daily material movement reports and coordinate with the purchase, QC, and fabrication teams for timely issue/receipt of materials. - Follow up with vendors for material returns or rejections. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in material handling or warehouse management is preferred. - Knowledge of Excel or ERP systems for stock entries and audits. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors.
