Job Purpose (Role Objective)

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing all store-related activities at the factory, including receipt, storage, issuance, and record-keeping of raw materials, glass sheets, hardware, and consumables. The role ensures proper inventory control, material availability for production, and accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Inward Material Handling

• Receive materials as per purchase order, invoice, and delivery challan
  
• Verify quantity, quality, and condition of incoming materials
  
• Prepare inward entries and coordinate GRN with accounts/purchase team
  

2. Outward & Issue Control

• Issue materials to production strictly against approved requisitions
  
• Maintain issue slips and outward records
  
• Ensure no unauthorized material movement
  

3. Inventory & Stock Management

• Maintain daily stock registers (manual and/or system-based)
  
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels
  
• Inform management for re-ordering and shortages
  
• Conduct regular physical stock verification
  

4. Storage & Safety

• Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and identification of materials
  
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in store area
  
• Prevent damage, breakage, or loss of materials
  

5. Documentation & Coordination

• Maintain files for inward, outward, gate passes, and stock records
  
• Coordinate with production, purchase, accounts, and logistics teams
  
• Support audits and inspections when required
  

Qualification & Experience

• Education:

  Minimum 12th Pass / Diploma (Any Stream)

• Experience:

  1–3 years as Store Keeper in factory/manufacturing setup (preferred)

• Industry Preference:

  Glass / Manufacturing / Industrial Materials

Skills & Competencies

• Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, stock entries, email)
  
• Understanding of inventory control and material handling
  
• Good numerical and record-keeping skills
  
• Honest, disciplined, and responsible
  
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures
