Job

The Store In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure smooth functioning, high customer satisfaction, effective team management, and achievement of sales targets. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Customer Service

  • Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to increase footfall and conversion rates.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and efficiently.

2. Store Operations

  • Oversee daily store operations including opening, closing, cash handling, and reporting.
  • Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and adheres to brand presentation standards.
  • Monitor stock levels, coordinate with the warehouse or suppliers for replenishment.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize stock loss and shrinkage.

3. Team Management

  • Supervise, train, and motivate store staff to achieve sales and operational goals.
  • Prepare staff schedules, manage attendance, and handle performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment that encourages teamwork.

4. Financial & Administrative Duties

  • Manage store budgets, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, stock reports, and other operational documentation.
  • Ensure proper cash reconciliation and deposit procedures are followed.

5. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure store operations comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain security of store assets, staff, and customers.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and security personnel for smooth functioning.

6. Visual Merchandising

  • Maintain store displays according to brand guidelines.
  • Ensure seasonal promotions and marketing materials are properly implemented.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 35 years of experience in retail operations or supervisory roles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in POS systems, MS Office, and basic inventory management software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
